JFS Teen Leadership Program

The newly revamped JFS Teen Leadership Program is a place for all students, grades 9-12, to learn about issues affecting their communities, develop skills to make lasting impact on topics they are passionate about, and make new relationships with like-minded peers. Youth will learn about gender equity and identity, hunger and food insecurity, and immigration and refugee resettlement. Youth participants will get to participate in specially designed volunteer projects and develop their own project to influence their community. Read the story from one of last year’s program participants below.

JFS Teen Leadership is open to students of all faiths and backgrounds. Interested teens can learn more and apply at www.jfssd.org/teenleadership. Applications are open until July 31. Financial assistance is available.
