Procedures

Morning

7:30-8:10 Aides - one at gate, one at lunch arbor, kids are sitting at tables and reading quietly.

8:10-8:40 Kids go down for recess. One Aide walks students up to blacktop at 8:40.  One Aide stays below with 7th and 8th grade. 

8:45 Teachers arrive at blacktop and take kids to classrooms (7th and 8th will be on lower playground)

 

Lunch and Recess

Teachers must walk kids to lunch line or down to recess area and ensure kids are following expectations before returning to your classrooms. Please facilitate a smooth transition with the charter aides. Teachers must pick students up from designated areas (lunch tables and playground). 

11:40-12:05 Grades K,2 Lunch

11:40-12:05 Grades 1,3 Recess

12:05-12:30 Grades K,2 Recess

12:05-12:30 Grades 1,3 Lunch

12:40-1:05 Grades 4,5 Lunch

12:40-1:05 Grades 6,7,8 Recess

1:05-1:30 Grades 4,5 Recess

1:05-1:30 Grades 6,7,8 Recess

Lunch rules

Please review the lunch rules, procedures, and expectations with your class and also practice them:

1- Sit at assigned grade level table (grades K-3)

Remain seated (grades 4-8)

2- Raise your hand to leave your seat for any reason

3- Use an inside voice

4- When you hear the whistle, freeze, stop talking, and wait for directions

5- Be respectful

 

Dismissal (3:30)  

  • One teacher will line students up and walk them to black top and line up in morning spot and stay with class until 3:45. Take remaining students to office.

  • The other teacher will walk students down to after-school and help with supervision until 3:45.  

  • Kindergarten remains in kinder area for pick up unless going to after-school.

From 3:45-4:15, you should be cleaning up your rooms and preparing for the next day.

 

Fire drills

Line students up and walk silently to the evacuation area according to your assigned pathway. Close your door on your way out, but leave it unlocked. Once at the meeting area, account for all of your students. Keep a clipboard hanging by your door with a roster to grab on your way out.
