Maggaly Kolsrud
Middle School Math
Hello, I am Mrs. Kolsrud. I was born in Peru and moved to the USA when I was ten years old. I am exceptionally well qualified in the mathematics and science with a bachelor’s civil engineering degree from Rutgers, the state university of New Jersey. I am passionate for igniting student curiosity and self-learning for all subjects. I love teaching students and I feel they respond well to me. In my previous job I received an award for Education Excellence in 2011. My passions for teaching lead me to pursue a Master’s in Education.
I have experience working with diverse ethnic background students. I was the recipient of the Award of Appreciation from the International Students Services for several years while attending Texas A&M University where I received my first undergraduate degree in Environmental Design. Here is where I met my wonderful husband who is from Norway. We have been married for seventeen years and are proud and blessed parents of two amazing girls. I enjoy learning from other cultures and love to cooperate with people. AFCS is a place where each student can reach their personal best. I love coming to work every day and see the smiling faces of each student.
