Erica Rappa

6th Grade Teacher

I grew up in Tennessee with a large family.  I am happily married to a veteran of the Navy so we moved around a lot.  I have 4 beautiful children that range from 4 years to 21 years of age.  They helped me become the teacher I am today.   I knew from early on that I wanted to be a teacher.  I have always loved helping others and strive to make a difference in my students' lives. I have a Masters Degree in Education I received from National University in 2011.  I spent two years teaching ESL in Tennessee where I provided support for elementary school children from grades K-5.  This helped me gain an understanding of a variety of different cultures.  I am very excited and humbled to become part of Americas Finest Charter School staff. I love the diversity of our students and the passion of every one of our teachers.   Outside of school, I like spending time with my family hiking, walking our dogs, going to the beach, reading, writing or watching my children play sports.
