Erica Rappa

6th Grade Teacher

I grew up in Tennessee with a large family. Now, I am happily married to a veteran of the Navy.  I have 4 beautiful children and two granddaughters who stole this Gramma’s heart.  I knew from early on that I wanted to be a teacher. I have always loved helping others and strive to make a difference in my students' lives not only academically but teaching them lifelong skills.

I have a Masters Degree in Education-Best practices that I received from National University in 2011. I received my Bachelors of science from the university of TN-Chattanooga in social sciences with a major in history and minor in geography. I spent two years teaching ESL in Tennessee where I provided support for elementary school children from grades K-5.  This helped me gain an understanding of a variety of different cultures and it was a very rewarding experience.

I am very excited and humbled to be a part of Americas Finest Charter School staff. I love the diversity of our students and the passion of every one of our teachers. I have taught a variety of grade levels which has given me an understanding of children of all ages. Outside of school, I like spending time with my family hiking, walking our dogs, going to the beach, reading, writing or watching my children play sports.
