Hi, my name is Hannah Stoner-Cubos and this is my second year teaching 4th grade here at AFCS. Before teaching, while I was working toward my Bachelor’s degree in education sciences and my Master’s degree in education, I worked as a high school volleyball coach, college prep counselor, tutor, and babysitter. The program I went into at University of California San DIego emphasized the importance of hands-on learning, creating projects based on the students’ areas of interest, and genuine love and care for the kids you work with. That being said, my classroom runs the same way.

 

In my spare time during the school year I like to read a book at the beach with my dog by my side, lounge around on the couch, go to Disneyland, and spend quality time with my friends. In the summer I’m usually traveling. I’ve been to 8 states in the US and 6 other countries, hopefully more coming soon!
