My name is Amanda Dykehouse and this will be my 1st year teaching at AFCS. I grew up in Michigan and moved to California 2 years ago. I have taught 4th grade for the last 2 years and am excited to teach 5th grade this year!

 

One of my main goals as a teacher is to inspire a passion for learning, since we will all be life-long learners no matter what path our life follows. I am passionate about creating a classroom environment where students enjoy learning and where unique strengths and perspectives are celebrated. 

 

I love spending my free time outside. Some of my favorite things to do are going camping, hiking, and surfing… making San Diego the perfect place to live!
